British Columbia compliance portal

Your BC safety program, WorkSafeBC protected.

One workspace for the documentation WorkSafeBC inspectors and COR auditors expect: your safety manual, worker training records, certifying partner audit evidence, Toxic Process Gas compliance, and pre-qual platform documents, all mapped to BCCSA, MSABC, BCMSA, or SAFE Certified as your industry requires.

A BC construction site with workers in full PPE, safety documentation reviewed on a tablet with the On-Track Compliance Portal open.

The product

Your safety program. WorkSafeBC evidence organised.

One dashboard. One evidence trail. One place a WorkSafeBC inspector, a BCCSA auditor, or your MSABC certifying partner goes to see the safety program you actually run.

The BC picture

Three sectors, seven-plus authorities.

Most BC operators sit cleanly inside one of these three. Many sit across two. The portal serves all of them from a single document base.

  • A BC construction crew reviewing safety documentation on site with fall protection equipment visible.

    Construction

    BCCSA

BCCSA COR is the procurement gateway for BC construction. WorkSafeBC 10 percent premium incentive requires an active COR and a maintained evidence trail. Missed audit cycles reset the clock. Notice of Project requirements, working alone procedures, and fall protection documentation on every site.

    How the portal serves it

BCCSA COR audit-prep workspace, working-at-heights certificate tracker, WorkSafeBC inspection evidence vault, pre-qual document staging for ISN, ComplyWorks, and ContractorCheck.

  • A BC manufacturing worker reviewing safety compliance documents in a food processing facility.

    Manufacturing and food processing

    MSABC

MSABC runs the Occupational Safety Standard of Excellence (OSSE) / COR program for BC manufacturing and food processing. April 2026 Toxic Process Gas rules target ammonia, chlorine, and other process gases in food processing, refrigeration, water treatment, and pulp mills. Emergency response plans, updated training records, and inspection schedules required.

    How the portal serves it

MSABC OSSE element codes in the audit-prep workspace, TPG inspection schedule tracking, WHMIS and confined-space certificate tracker, regulatory update feed pre-loaded with BC manufacturing-specific changes.

  • A forestry safety professional reviewing compliance documentation at a BC resource site.

    Forestry and resource

    BCFSC / SAFE Certified

BC forestry runs SAFE Certified, not COR. Four tiers by company size. Different audit protocol, different documentation requirements than BCCSA. New respirator rules and ROPS seat-belt requirements from WorkSafeBC add another compliance layer for heavy-equipment operators.

    How the portal serves it

SAFE Certified element codes in the audit-prep workspace, heavy equipment certificate tracking, regulatory update feed covering ROPS and respirator rules, WorkSafeBC compliance documentation vault.

These are three of BC’s largest sectors. The portal is built for every Canadian industry - if your sector is not shown above, we still have you covered.

Additional BC certifying partners include BCMSA for municipal and utilities, go2HR for tourism and hospitality, SafeCare BC for long-term care, and Energy Safety Canada for oil and gas. The portal pre-loads element codes for all of them.

Where BC operators get caught

Four documentation gaps, one WorkSafeBC visit.

Most BC operators have at least one of these. Many operators running mixed work or multiple pre-qual platforms have all four. Each pain has a portal answer mapped to a tier.

  • The 10 percent WorkSafeBC incentive is the strongest rebate in Canada

Up to 10 percent premium discount for active COR-certified employers with a maintained evidence trail. Lose your COR status or fall behind on the year's documentation and the incentive walks. The incentive is earned annually by demonstrating compliance performance to WorkSafeBC - the portal is the documentation engine that protects it.

    Portal coverage, Foundation+

The compliance dashboard surfaces the metrics WorkSafeBC reviews: training completion, inspection cadence, incident frequency, and audit-readiness view. The Document Vault holds the dated evidence trail your certifying partner will request at renewal. Spot the documentation gap before WorkSafeBC does.

  • Seven-plus certifying partners: which one applies to your business

BCCSA for construction, MSABC for manufacturing, BCMSA for municipal and utilities, go2HR for hospitality, SafeCare BC for long-term care, BCFSC for forestry (SAFE Certified, not COR), Energy Safety Canada for oil and gas. Many BC operators run mixed work and are genuinely unsure which certifying partner applies. Switching streams mid-cycle resets the audit clock.

    Portal coverage, Compliance+

The audit-prep workspace loads the element codes for your specific certifying partner: BCCSA, MSABC, BCMSA, or SAFE Certified. If your operation straddles two sectors, the cross-framework evidence map shows how one document can satisfy requirements from multiple certifying partners simultaneously.

  • Toxic Process Gas rules hit April 2026

WorkSafeBC's new TPG rules apply to ammonia, chlorine, and other process gases in food processing, refrigeration, water treatment, and pulp mills. Updated emergency response plans, training records, and inspection schedules must be in place. Operators who have not reviewed their confined-space and chemical-exposure procedures are exposed.

    Portal coverage, Foundation+

The Compliance Scheduler pre-loads BC-specific regulatory rollouts including TPG inspection schedules and related training renewal dates. The AI Document Builder drafts updated emergency response procedures grounded in your existing safety manual and WorkSafeBC TPG requirements. The regulatory update feed flags which changes apply to your industry.

  • Five pre-qual platforms, one contractor, no time

ISN for oil and gas. ComplyWorks for utilities. ContractorCheck for construction and facilities. Avetta for mining and large industrial. CanQualify for cost-conscious mid-market. Many BC contractors maintain four or five simultaneously. Each requires its own answer set, its own insurance uploads, its own annual renewal. Let one go stale and the bid invitation stops.

    Portal coverage, Authority

The Authority tier master answer library holds your insurance, WCB clearance, training matrix, ESG policies, and key safety metrics in one place. When a new question lands on any platform, the portal surfaces the existing answer and suggests reuse. The pre-qual document staging keeps your submissions current across the platforms you are already paying for.

What the portal does

Built for the operator who wears six hats.

You do not need a full-time safety manager. You need the documentation engine a safety manager would build, run by the team you already have.

  • Document Vault

Your WorkSafeBC program, COR audit evidence, training records, investigation reports, and posted notices in one workspace. Custom Safety Manual buyers keep manual access forever - the manual is your property.

  • AI Safety Advisor

Reads your safety manual and WorkSafeBC regulations, points to the specific section and page that answers a team question, and flags coverage gaps relevant to your certifying partner. You verify the citation before acting on it.

  • Worker Certificate Tracker

OCR-extracted certificate data with 90, 60, 30, and 14-day expiry alerts. BCCSA Working at Heights, WHMIS, forklift, first aid, respirator fit-test, and any other ticket your BC workforce carries.

  • Cross-framework Evidence Map

One document satisfies multiple frameworks. A WorkSafeBC safety program policy can serve a BCCSA COR element, an MSABC OSSE requirement, and a ContractorCheck pre-qual question from one upload.

  • Audit-prep Workspace

BCCSA, MSABC, BCMSA, and SAFE Certified element codes pre-built. One-click export to your auditor with documentation organised by element. Auditor interviews and on-site observations stay theirs.

  • Compliance Scheduler

WorkSafeBC posting cycles, TPG inspection cadence, respirator fit-test renewals, fire drills, training renewals, and manual review triggers on one calendar. Email and dashboard alerts before anything lapses.

The portal does not replace daily-forms tools (FLHAs, vehicle pre-trips, equipment checks). It is the workspace for the safety manual, certificates, training records, audit-prep, AI document drafting, and recurring compliance scheduling that live alongside the daily-forms layer.

Authority tier preview

Multi-year audit findings, trended.

At Authority tier, year-over-year audit score deltas and recurring findings light up in August 2027 once 12 months of audit cycles complete. The tile shows where your program drifts year over year and which elements keep coming back to the auditor.

Competitors cannot copy this without your audit history, which is why it is locked behind 12 months of customer use rather than launched in marketing copy. Audit interpretation varies by individual auditor. The portal helps you prepare and document your safety program. It cannot guarantee audit outcomes.
