What is an FLHA
A field-level hazard assessment done before every task.
A Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLHA) is a quick, on-the-spot hazard identification done before beginning any task. Workers walk through the work area, identify potential hazards, document controls, and sign off before starting. Required on most Canadian worksites and during COR audits.
- Required on most Canadian industrial worksites
- Evidence of due diligence for COR and SECOR audits
- NCR duplicate — worker keeps copy, supervisor retains original
- Booklet format — durable for field use
