Contractor management

Avetta account management. Handled for you.

Avetta is the contractor prequalification platform used by major Canadian primes across manufacturing, mining, utilities, and construction. On-Track manages your Avetta account end-to-end — document uploads, insurance tracking, stat submissions, and priority requests — so you stay green across every prime review.

What an Avetta account requires

Avetta scores each contractor against the specific requirements of their connected prime contractors. Every component has to be current — and each prime can add their own requirements on top of the platform defaults.

  • Insurance certificates

General liability, workers compensation, and additional insured certificates updated at each policy renewal. Expired insurance is the most common cause of Avetta account failures during prime reviews.

  • Safety program documentation

Written safety policies, procedures, and program elements uploaded against each prime's documentation requirements. The specific documents required vary by prime contractor and industry.

  • Safety statistics

Injury rates, hours worked, incident data, and loss-time statistics submitted on Avetta's cadence. Primes use these rates to score your account against their risk thresholds.

  • Training records

Worker training certificates and competency records uploaded as evidence of a qualified workforce. Required training varies by prime and industry.

  • Prime-specific questionnaires

Some Avetta primes add custom compliance questionnaires to their packages. On-Track monitors for these and completes them when they appear.

Hundreds of smaller primes across Canada use Avetta. If your prime has asked you to register or has flagged your account score, contact On-Track for a quote.

Most contractors are on more than one platform

Avetta and ISNetworld are not either/or. Many Canadian contractors are registered on ISNetworld for their energy-sector primes and Avetta for their mining, construction, or utility-sector primes. ComplyWorks and CanQual are common additions for Alberta oil sands and Canadian infrastructure projects.

On-Track manages all platforms under a single engagement. The document library built for one platform is the same core documentation your other accounts draw from — less duplication, consistent evidence across every prime review.

Avetta — common questions

What is Avetta and who uses it?
Avetta is a global contractor prequalification platform used by companies across oil and gas, manufacturing, utilities, retail, and construction. Major Canadian prime contractors use Avetta to vet service and supply chain contractors. If a prime contractor has asked you to register on Avetta, it means your account will be reviewed against their specific health, safety, and compliance requirements before you can bid or work for them.
What does an Avetta account require?
An Avetta account requires insurance certificates (general liability, workers compensation, additional insured endorsements), safety program documentation, training records for key personnel, safety statistics (injury rates, hours worked), and any prime-specific documents the hiring company has added to their compliance package. Avetta scores accounts against each prime's individual risk profile, so the requirements vary between primes even on the same platform.
How is Avetta different from ISNetworld?
ISNetworld and Avetta are both contractor prequalification platforms, but they serve different client bases. ISNetworld dominates in energy, oil and gas, and heavy industrial; Avetta is broader across industries including manufacturing, utilities, and large commercial. Some Canadian contractors are registered on both. The documentation and scoring frameworks are similar, but each platform's prime-specific requirements differ. On-Track manages both.
What does On-Track manage on an Avetta account?
On-Track manages account setup or takeover, document uploads, insurance certificate renewals, safety statistics submissions, training record updates, and ongoing monitoring of prime contractor requirement changes. When a prime updates their compliance package on Avetta, we update your account to match. Priority requests from prime contractors are handled as urgent work.
Can On-Track manage both Avetta and ISNetworld accounts?
Yes. Many Canadian contractors are registered on multiple platforms — ISNetworld for their energy-sector primes, Avetta for other industry primes, and ComplyWorks or CanQual for others. On-Track manages all platforms under a single engagement. You get one team handling the full set of accounts rather than managing each platform separately.
