Contractor management

ISNetworld account management. Done for you.

ISNetworld is the platform most energy, oil and gas, and industrial prime contractors in Western Canada use to vet their contractors. On-Track manages your ISN account end-to-end — RAVS uploads, MSQ submissions, quarterly statistics, insurance tracking, and priority requests — so you can focus on the job and not the dashboard.

What makes up an ISNetworld account

ISNetworld scores your account against each connected prime contractor's specific requirements. Every component has to be current for the account to read green.

  • RAVS

Risk Assessment and Value System documents. One per safety element — excavation, electrical, confined space, fall protection, WHMIS, and more. Each is scored against each prime contractor's specific evidence requirements.

  • RAVS 360

Enhanced RAVS with additional elements covering environmental management and ESG commitments. Required by major energy-sector primes. On-Track builds and maintains RAVS 360 packages where primes require them.

  • MSQ

Management System Questionnaire — the annual safety management assessment. Covers safety policy, leadership commitment, hazard management, training records, and incident management. Submitted once per year and reviewed by each prime.

  • Safety statistics

Quarterly submission of injury rates, hours worked, near-miss reports, and incident data. ISNetworld calculates your Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Lost Time Incident Rate (LTIR) from these inputs. Primes use these rates in bid scoring.

  • Insurance certificates

General liability, workers compensation, and additional insured certificates updated each time a policy renews. Expired insurance is one of the most common causes of account failures during prime contractor reviews.

  • Training records

Worker training documentation uploaded as evidence against each prime's training-record requirements. Includes certificates for mandatory courses — first aid, TDG, WHMIS, and any site- or industry-specific requirements.

Who requires ISNetworld in Western Canada

The energy sector runs on ISNetworld. Major oil and gas producers, pipeline operators, and industrial primes use ISN as the gateway for contractor qualification. If you work for any of the following companies — or want to — an active ISNetworld account is not optional.

  • Suncor Energy
  • Shell Canada
  • TC Energy
  • Enbridge
  • Pembina Pipeline
  • Syncrude Canada
  • CNRL
  • Imperial Oil
  • MEG Energy
  • Cenovus Energy

Hundreds of smaller primes and project owners also use ISNetworld. If your prime contractor has asked you to register, or has mentioned your account score during a bid review, contact On-Track.

What On-Track manages on your ISN account

01

Account setup or takeover

New to ISNetworld or inheriting a neglected account? On-Track audits the current state, identifies gaps each prime contractor will flag, builds the RAVS library scoped to your operation and industry, and stands up the account so it reads complete from day one.

02

Ongoing document maintenance

Insurance certificates, training records, and safety statistics have recurring submission windows. We track every expiry date and every platform deadline so nothing ages out. You get a clean account review instead of a gap report.

03

Requirement change monitoring

ISNetworld updates its evidence standards continuously. Prime contractors update their individual requirement packages throughout the year. When a prime's RAVS requirement changes, the account has to reflect it. On-Track monitors these changes and updates your account before the gap becomes a flag.

04

Priority request handling

Prime contractors issue specific requests mid-project — a missing RAVS, an updated stat submission, proof of a specific training program. These are requirements for the right to work. On-Track treats them as priority work, including after-hours where the timeline demands it.

Need individual RAVS?

For operators who manage their own ISNetworld account, On-Track offers a library of ready-to-customise RAVS documents through the online safety products store. Each RAVS is built to ISNetworld's evidence standards and available as an instant download.

For managed accounts, On-Track builds custom RAVS scoped to your operation, industry, and the specific prime contractor's requirement set — not template documents adapted after the fact.

ISNetworld — common questions

What is ISNetworld and why do contractors need it?
ISNetworld is the most widely adopted contractor pre-qualification platform for energy, oil and gas, industrial, and construction primes in Canada. Companies like Suncor, Shell, TC Energy, Enbridge, and hundreds of smaller prime contractors use ISNetworld to vet sub-trades and service contractors before awarding work. If your primes use ISNetworld, you need a maintained, current account to bid on and perform work for them.
What is a RAVS and how does it work?
RAVS stands for Risk Assessment and Value System. Each RAVS is a scored document upload that demonstrates how your safety program addresses a specific safety element — excavation, confined space, fall protection, electrical safety, and so on. ISNetworld scores each RAVS against the prime contractor's specific requirements. A passing score on each required RAVS is what keeps your account in green status for that prime.
What does On-Track actually do with an ISNetworld account?
On-Track manages every component of the account: initial setup or account takeover, RAVS uploads and scoring review, MSQ (Management System Questionnaire) annual submission, quarterly safety statistics (injury rates, hours worked, incident reports), insurance certificate uploads and renewal tracking, and priority requests when a prime contractor flags a specific gap or urgent ask. The goal is that a prime contractor opening your account sees green across the board.
What is RAVS 360?
RAVS 360 is an enhanced version of the standard RAVS with additional scored elements covering environmental management, ESG commitments, and expanded safety program documentation. Some prime contractors — particularly large energy companies — require RAVS 360 compliance in addition to standard RAVS. On-Track builds and uploads RAVS 360 documents as part of managed accounts where those primes require them.
How much does ISNetworld account management cost?
Pricing depends on the number of prime contractors your account is connected to, the size of your RAVS set, whether you need account setup or just ongoing maintenance, and the complexity of your operations. Contact On-Track for a quote scoped to your account and prime contractor list.
