Contractor management

ComplyWorks account management. Managed end to end.

ComplyWorks is the contractor prequalification platform used by Canadian oil sands operators, industrial primes, and construction project owners. On-Track manages your ComplyWorks account end-to-end — document uploads, insurance tracking, orientation records, and priority requests — so you stay compliant without managing the platform yourself.

What a ComplyWorks account requires

ComplyWorks is built around the document library your prime contractors need to review. Every component has to be current and specific to each prime’s compliance package.

  • Safety program documentation

Policies, safe work practices, and program procedures uploaded against each prime's document requirements. ComplyWorks allows primes to specify required documents in their compliance package.

  • Insurance certificates

General liability, workers compensation, and additional insured certificates uploaded at each renewal. Expired certificates are a common cause of ComplyWorks account flags during prime reviews.

  • Training records

Worker training certificates uploaded as evidence of a qualified workforce. Some ComplyWorks primes track training completions directly through the platform, including site-specific orientations.

  • Site-specific orientations

ComplyWorks allows prime contractors to assign orientation completions to registered contractors. Workers may need to complete online orientations before site access. On-Track coordinates these where required.

  • Safety statistics

Injury rates, hours worked, and incident data submitted on the prime's required cadence. Primes use these statistics to score your account against their risk thresholds.

ComplyWorks in the Canadian oil sands and industrial sector

ComplyWorks was built in Canada for the Canadian contractor market. It is the preferred prequalification platform for many oil sands operators and Alberta industrial primes who value a platform built around Canadian OHS legislation and certifying partner requirements rather than adapted from a US framework.

ComplyWorks’s site-specific orientation feature is distinctive: prime contractors can push required orientations to registered contractors through the platform, and completion records are tracked centrally. On-Track coordinates these orientations and ensures your workers have the right completions on file for each prime site.

Many Alberta contractors are registered on both ComplyWorks and ISNetworld — ComplyWorks for their Canadian oil sands and industrial primes, ISNetworld for their energy sector and international primes. On-Track manages both under a single engagement.

ComplyWorks — common questions

What is ComplyWorks and who uses it?
ComplyWorks is a Canadian contractor prequalification and compliance management platform used heavily in oil and gas, oil sands, and industrial sectors. It is used by major Canadian prime contractors and project owners to manage contractor qualification, site-specific orientations, and ongoing compliance. If a prime contractor has asked you to register on ComplyWorks, your account will be reviewed against their safety and compliance requirements before you can bid or perform work for them.
What does a ComplyWorks account require?
ComplyWorks accounts require safety program documentation (policies, procedures, and work practices), insurance certificates updated at each renewal, training records for workers and supervision, safety statistics, and site-specific orientation completions for prime contractor facilities. ComplyWorks also tracks competency records and allows primes to assign required orientations directly through the platform.
Is ComplyWorks the same as ISNetworld?
ComplyWorks and ISNetworld are both contractor prequalification platforms but serve different prime contractor bases. ISNetworld is dominant in energy, oil and gas, and heavy industrial across Canada and the US. ComplyWorks is a Canadian-built platform used primarily by Canadian oil and gas operators and industrial primes. Some contractors are registered on both. The document requirements and scoring frameworks are similar — insurance, safety program documentation, training records, and statistics — but each platform's prime-specific requirements vary.
What does On-Track manage on a ComplyWorks account?
On-Track manages account setup or takeover, document library build, insurance certificate uploads and renewals, training record management, safety statistics submissions, site-specific orientation tracking, and ongoing monitoring of prime contractor requirement changes. When a prime contractor updates their compliance package on ComplyWorks, we update your account to reflect it. Priority requests from primes are handled urgently.
Can On-Track manage ComplyWorks alongside other platforms?
Yes. Many Canadian contractors are registered on ComplyWorks for their Canadian oil sands and industrial primes, ISNetworld for energy-sector primes, and Avetta or CanQual for others. On-Track manages all platforms under a single engagement. The core documentation built for one platform carries across to the others, reducing duplication while keeping every account current.
