    Temporary Letter of Certification

    We prepare your TLC application and membership paperwork, so you can bid on work while your records build up.

  4. Step 4

    Build records, then book the audit

    ACSA needs at least three months of records before the audit; a longer run scores more fully. You run your internal audit and book an independent auditor. SECOR Ready: we prepare your SECOR submission.

What a package can and cannot do

A manual can score at most 450 of the 900 audit points on its own. You still put the program in place, keep records, run your own internal audit and book the audit. Because we help build your program, On-Track will not also be the certifying auditor for it - that keeps the certification independent.No package, ours or anyone's, can promise a pass. The audit measures what your people do.

How long before the audit? ACSA needs at least three months of records before the audit. Auditors sample up to twelve months, so a longer run scores more fully. The TLC lets you bid on work while you build them.

WCB Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR)

PIR pays the highest of three measures, capped at 20%: 5% for simply maintaining COR (10% in your first certified year), up to 20% for improving your safety performance, or up to 20% for claim costs well below your industry average. There is no separate SECOR rate - SECOR is a COR, and earns the same structure. Registration in PIR is required and is separate from certification.

The actual rebate depends on your experience rating, your industry rate group, your certification status at fiscal year-end, and applicable WCB rules in your province. Verify current rates with your provincial WCB before making financial decisions. Audit costs are typical ranges - your actual cost depends on operation size, scope, and certifying partner.

How much is COR Ready or SECOR Ready?
The COR Ready build package is $4,495 for one province or $4,995 for two, and SECOR Ready is $3,920 for one province, plus GST, with a 50% deposit. Each includes the custom manual, formal hazard assessments, a job task inventory, 22 core fillable forms plus the ones your work calls for, the implementation checklist, TLC (Temporary Letter of Certification) application paperwork and a training plan; SECOR Ready also includes the 20-hour SECOR submission. The company still implements the program, keeps records and books an independent certification audit.
What is the difference between COR Ready and SECOR Ready?
Both include the same build: the custom manual, formal hazard assessments, a job task inventory, fillable forms, the implementation checklist, Temporary Letter of Certification (TLC) paperwork and a training plan. SECOR Ready is for small employers who qualify for SECOR, and adds the 20-hour SECOR submission - documentation gathering, audit writing and submittal, handled by our team.

What is a Temporary Letter of Certification (TLC)?
A letter from ACSA that lets a company with a safety program in place, but not yet enough records, bid on work while it builds them. It needs an active WCB account, ACSA membership, and at least one full-time employee who has completed the Principles of Health and Safety Management and Alberta OHS Legislation Awareness courses. We prepare the application and paperwork.
Why won't On-Track do our certification audit?
Certifying partners do not allow an auditor to audit a program their company helped build within the previous twelve months. That keeps your certification independent. You book your certification audit with another auditor; after twelve months, you are welcome to come back to us for later audits.

Yes. COR Ready is priced for one or two provinces; for three or more, email info@on-tracksafety.com and we will send a package quote.
