You set up a training profile before you pay. It asks for more than a normal checkout does - your employer, your role, an emergency contact - because this is a training record, not a shopping cart. It is the file an auditor asks to see, and it is why you can pull your certificate up years from now instead of hunting for a PDF in your email. Give yourself five minutes and do it once.

About the course

What this course covers.

Tired workers make more mistakes. Their reactions slow down, their judgement slips and they can nod off without meaning to. This course gives every worker a clear, quick grounding in how fatigue builds up and what they can do about it, on shift and at home.

It is the short version of our fatigue training. If you need deeper coverage of sleep science, legislation, workplace fatigue assessment and team countermeasures, take Fatigue Management Training for Workers, which runs about 90 minutes. If your people drive for work, Fatigue Management - Supervisors and Drivers is built around driving fatigue and the legal side of it.

Employers use this course for crew-wide awareness, for new hires, and as a refresher for shift and night workers. It supports the fatigue controls you set out in your formal hazard assessment (FHA).

Why it matters for compliance

The Alberta OHS Code requires employers to assess the work site, identify existing and potential hazards, involve affected workers, and then eliminate or control those hazards. The Code does not list fatigue by name, but Alberta's own OHS guidance treats fatigue and extended work hours as a workplace hazard. Training is one control. It works alongside scheduling, breaks and the other controls in your formal hazard assessment (FHA). Other provinces have their own OHS laws with similar general duties.
