About the course

What this course covers.

Knowing how to wear a harness is only part of working safely at height - the other part is the math. This course covers how to calculate the total fall clearance a system needs, so a worker does not hit a lower level even after the lanyard deploys and the anchor stretches.

It also covers travel restraint and work positioning as distinct systems from fall arrest, each suited to different tasks, and rescue planning - what has to be in place before a worker goes up, not worked out after an incident.

This course suits a supervisor, competent person, or experienced worker who needs to go beyond basic equipment use into planning and calculating a fall protection system for a task.
