Choosing a course

Which safety course should a new supervisor take?

Leadership for Safety Excellence is the single best-selling course in the catalogue, by a wide margin, and it is the eight-hour Alberta course supervisors take to document competency. It is not the only option: there is a shorter Supervisor's Role course at $44.99, an all-provinces leadership course, and a full management skills programme at $299.99.

How this is ordered. By what On-Track customers actually bought over the last twelve months, not by our opinion of them. The first one listed is the one most people take.

What actually separates them

  • Leadership for Safety Excellence is Alberta-specific and eight hours. It is what most of our customers buy for supervisors.
  • Leadership for Safety is the all-provinces equivalent for supervisors outside Alberta.
  • Supervisor's Role is the short, inexpensive introduction rather than a competency course.
  • Due Diligence for Supervisors covers the legal duty specifically.

Training more than one person?

A corporate account is free, takes 20 percent off for the first three months, and keeps every certificate and expiry date in one place. Buying Leadership for Safety Excellence seats one at a time costs more and tracks nothing.
