About the course
What this course covers.
This course satisfies Canada's requirement for the classroom portion of operator safety training, working through the vehicle itself first: safety equipment, seatbelts, airbags, and child-restraint (L.A.T.C.H.) systems.
It moves into weight distribution, vehicle maintenance, reading an ammeter and voltmeter, and conducting a post-trip inspection, then covers driving with loads and the hazardous materials rules that apply.
It closes with what to do when something goes wrong: reporting accidents and responding to emergency situations. On completion, the worker gets a certificate and an employer checklist for observing the principles learned on the road.
