About the course
What this course covers.
A hazard assessment is the document that stands between a worker and an incident that has not happened yet. This course covers how to walk through a task, identify the hazards involved, and rank them by likelihood and severity, before moving on to control selection.
It applies the hierarchy of controls - elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative, and PPE - so a worker chooses the strongest available control rather than defaulting straight to personal protective equipment.
Companies use this course to build hazard assessment competency across a workforce, which is one of the most commonly reviewed elements in a COR or SECOR audit.
