About the course
What this course covers.
This is a management-building program, not a worker orientation: it starts with defining safety and responsibility, including the legal role of a prime contractor, and the legislative requirements for maintaining a safe workplace.
It works through developing a quality occupational health and safety program, integrating safety into planning, conducting hazard assessments, running a new worker orientation and tailgate meetings, and building an inspection checklist.
It closes with incident investigation - which incidents require it, how to conduct one, and how to implement corrective actions - the document management an OH&S program needs, the key elements of an OH&S Committee, and how to build a safety culture across a construction company.
