It covers the rules and regulations that apply - the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Code, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Act, the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) - and why each governing body is involved: protecting people and the environment from propane's hazards.
It closes with the practical side: safe transport and storage, what to inspect before using a cylinder, the step-by-step process for connecting and disconnecting cylinders, personal protective equipment, and basic emergency response.

A mark of 80 percent is required, with up to three attempts on the exam. On completion, a certificate of completion is available to download and print. The certificate does not expire.

Why it matters for compliance
Workers who need a formal ROT (Refill Operator Training) certification in Ontario still require a TSSA-approved provider and an in-person evaluation - this course alone does not satisfy that requirement.
