Built wrong, missing a component, or overloaded, it fails - and a scaffold failure is rarely a minor incident. This course trains a worker to recognise a sound scaffold and the hazards of one that is not.
The course covers an introduction to scaffolding and the anatomy of a scaffold, the erection and dismantling of the structure, and the inspections done before and during use. It works through safe operations on a scaffold, what keeps a scaffold stable, and the hazards a scaffold worker faces. It is a Canada-compliant course that satisfies the classroom portion of operator safety training.
