About the course
What this course covers.
A mobile elevated work platform puts a worker at height, and most incidents on these machines come down to the same handful of causes - tipping on uneven ground, striking overhead hazards, or a fall from the platform itself. This course covers the anatomy of scissor lifts and aerial platforms, how to inspect one before use, and the operating practices that prevent those incidents.
It is a knowledge-based course. Operators still need site-specific, hands-on familiarisation with the actual equipment they will run, but this course establishes the safety fundamentals every aerial lift operator needs before that hands-on step.
Employers use this course to document aerial lift training for a worker's file and to satisfy a contractor pre-qualification platform's training requirements.
