Ground Disturbance 201 is the ABCGA-endorsed course for anyone who plans, manages, or undertakes ground disturbance work. Here is what it covers and who needs it.
Do you or your workers need ground disturbance training? If your operation plans, manages, or undertakes any kind of ground disturbance, the answer is almost certainly yes - and Ground Disturbance 201 is the course built for the people responsible for that work.
Who the course is for
Our online Ground Disturbance 201 course, previously known as Ground Disturbance for Supervisors Level 2 or ADPC Level II, is designed for planners, managers, supervisors, and employees who develop, plan, or undertake ground disturbance. It is endorsed by the Alberta Common Ground Alliance.
What you will be able to do
On successful completion of the course, a participant should be able to:
- Identify and define ground disturbance.
- Describe the hazards of ground disturbance.
- Decide what permits and agreements will be required.
- Describe how to locate and identify underground facilities.
- Describe the regulations associated with ground disturbance.
- Describe the responsibilities of owners and ground disturbers.
- Describe the safety requirements for the work.
How the online course compares to a classroom session
The Ground Disturbance 201 course contains the same course content and examination criteria as a classroom-delivered course endorsed to the Alberta Common Ground Alliance Ground Disturbance 201 Standard. It is aligned with the IRP 17 standard and has been submitted, assessed, and fully endorsed by the Alberta Common Ground Alliance against their Ground Disturbance of Supervisors 201 Standard.
